ABOUT US

      We’re Jiang Qiu and Li Qin (also known as Cecile), founders of Guangzhou Marrant Leather Company. Both raised in rural Hunan, China, we grew up with our parents’ hard work and endless love. We fell in love in college, then parted ways to chase our dreams. As time went by, fate brought us an unexpected reunion in Guangzhou in 2008. It felt like destiny—so we decided to start a business together: a genuine leather shop. Every day, we’ve stayed committed to sourcing the finest leather and crafting top-grain leather goods. We truly believed quality and service would speak for themselves.

When the first overseas customer visit our shop in person, we were utterly shocked. That was the first time we realized overseas customers might love our leather goods. So we opened a store on AliExpress, determined to bring the best products to genuine leather lovers worldwide.

      By 2016, more and more friends joined our team. We rented a 320-square-meter office and registered Marrant Leather Company. Around then, our small workshop slowly turned into a proper factory.but shortly after the factory was set up, the epidemic hit—an unexpected heavy blow. Goods couldn’t be shipped to clients. This would not only hurt their interests, but also trigger a huge trust crisis for Marrant.

      Luckily, not a single Marrant staff gave up. We tried every possible way to get deliveries out. Back then, Liang Rihua from the marketing and design team, and Li Zhibing, our operations supervisor, braved epidemic restrictions to pick, inspect, and pack orders. They even carried the package to the gate themselves, making sure the goods were shipped smoothly.

      In October 2023, a Russian client of Melody Wu—manager of our Alibaba International Department—ordered a batch of bags. We have completed all production, however the client didn’t pay the balance for a long time.

      During an open and honest conversation, Melody Wu found out why: his child was sick, and he was having cash flow problems. After learning this, Melody Wu reported the situation to us. We held a team meeting and unanimously decided to ship the goods first. We didn’t want to delay his sales—he could pay the balance once his business recovered.

      This move gave the client great support, and he was deeply touched. As soon as the goods arrived locally, he paid immediately and placed an even bigger order with us. Thanks to such an excellent team that always puts clients first, Marrant kept running smoothly even during the epidemic. We’re truly grateful to these sincere teammates.

      One incident that stands out happened in March 2025.

A long-term Russian e-commerce partner sent new procurement staff who wanted to replace Marrant. Li Qin was heartbroken and asked Andrey, our original contact: “Is your company really going to replace us?” To our surprise, Andrey was shocked. He comforted her: “Marrant’s quality and innovation are top-notch. My boss would never replace such a great supplier—let alone one full of warmth and kindness. Your staff are loyal to Marrant and clients alike. Only a good company earns such dedication. You deserve our deepest respect.”

      We never expected such praise. It’s a testament to our unwavering commitment to quality and service, and to every team member who never gave up. This honor belongs to each of them. To celebrate, we had an amazing team building activity in Shenzhen.

      Even today, my wife Li Qin and I still hold the same vision: to build a business that achieves both material and spiritual prosperity. We call it ““Do good, benefit others”. We put our staff’ benefits first. For customer service, we believe: “Only through continuous learning and product innovation can we keep progressing in the unpredictable business world.”Every day, we work with the R&D team to develop new, trendy designs——now over 1,000 unique designs, and our inventory remains stable.

      Our team keep growing with 3 factories, over 200 production staff,and 50 sales team member. We know our responsibilities grow too. But Marrant will always stay true to our original aspiration: pursuing quality, innovating products, and serving our clients wholeheartedly.

      Marrant is like a sailboat—powered by teamwork and sincere service—carrying our craftsmanship and kindness to every customer across the vast oceans.
